Bono On the Bailout - Sojourner's Quote of the Week

You all might appreciate this...(sent from my friend Brian Mogren, who
runs St. Jane's House in North Minneapolis...)

Sojourner's Quote of the Week:
It's extraordinary to me that the United States can find $700 billion to save Wall Street and the entire G8 can't find $25 billion dollars to save 25,000 children who die every day from preventable diseases.

- Bono, rock star and anti-poverty activist.

Peace,
Melissa

Melissa,

The world has never been fair. That's their 'reward' for the mismanagement, greed and speculation. If I mismanage my own company and go bust, shouldn't I also get a bailout?...

What can I say? .... Bono is stating a fact. A fact that most people don't want to hear, but a fact nonetheless.

It's like how it's never made sense to me that even in this country, people go to bed hungry and yet a lot of food is thrown out as garbage every night across this nation. I just will never understand it.
